Following the eye-catching 6-0 win in the previous round against Birmingham City U18s, the young Hatters are on home soil for another tough test against QPR.

The reward for victory is a Fifth Round home tie versus either Gillingham or Preston North End.

Alan McCormack said:

"At certain points throughout the season, we always wanted to get them games in stadiums and get them games against Category One clubs and against better opposition and in better facilities and in front of crowds, so it certainly is the next step for a lot of them.

"We don’t just want to take this as ‘Oh, this is the first time we’ve been here’. I want to go deep into the competition, I want to go far. I know Alex (Lawless) does, I know the club does and we have been meticulous in our planning to this.

"We’ve watched as much as we can, when we can, and not changing anything that we do, but we do need to tweak for certain elements and try new things and do different things, to beat a very good opposition. But, it’s all about us on Wednesday night and how we play, our style of play, and its about us and how we go about it on the ball and opff the ball. That’s something that the boys have put into practise extremely well this year.

"I’m quite excited about it, I want to get through and I want to go to the next round and want to go further after that and keep going, it’s all about winning games of football and winning the next game."

The opposition:

Managed by Lead Professional Development Coach, Micah Hyde's young R's caused an upset in the Third Round, overcoming Tottenham Hotspur after extra-time to set up today's meeting.

The Category Two opposition - one higher than Town's Under 18s - play their football in the Professional Development League Two South where they sit fourth with three wins in their last five matches.
