Our number two had not played a competitive game since the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium back in May.

“It was a good experience,” said Osho. “It wasn’t the result we wanted but it was good to be back out playing with the boys after being out for a while now. I just hope that the team and I can move on and kick on from it now.

“The speed and the demands of Premier League games on the body is more than what I’ve ever done before, I’m tired but my body feels fine.

“In this league they really punish the mistakes, that’s probably the main thing. The goals that they scored today was in ways that we knew about before the game, we worked on that during the week and it was unfortunate that we got caught in those ways today, that’s not good enough.

“It’s been hard over the last couple of months having to watch the boys from the sidelines, it was a good feeling being back out there today and I really believe in this team. A lot of people have doubted us but we have a really good chance of staying up this season, we have to correct the little things.

“I’m excited to play more games at this level, everyone dreams about playing in the Premier League as a kid so to get the chance to do that today was an honour. I want to win, so we’ll need to keep working a bit harder and carry out game plans to give us a better chance of getting a result in these games.

“When you are three-one down, you expect the fans to be on your back a bit but the support we had was amazing, even at the end of the game.

“I’d seen what the fans were like online, being out there today seeing that was touching and we want to give them something to really cheer for.”
