History

Hatters Heritage website is two years old!

From a standing start in November 2020 the Hatters’ Heritage website has continued to grow, with 79 seasons now uploaded.

We are now working our way through the pre-war seasons and the games from the current century before we re-visit some of the earlier uploads due to having sourced many more photos and match reports to add.

Added recently is a video interview with Luton goalkeeper/striker Tony Read (pictured above, centre) which you can watch on our YouTube channel below.

For those that remember him playing, he was our regular goalkeeper in those glory years of 1967-71 but before then he turned out up front for us and even netted a hat-trick in one game. Now 80, Tony is well worth listening to.

So to re-cap, the intention is to showcase every photograph, every match report and every page of every programme on the site. Already added are full stats, player profiles including photographs back to 1885, features, items of memorabilia and a vast video library.

If you haven’t looked at the site recently do re-visit to view the latest additions and if you like what you see please consider becoming a member, a volunteer or a patron.  Full details are shown on the site.

Visit www.hattersheritage.co.uk. You won’t be disappointed.
