Mini Hatters & Talent Identification Programme now open for bookings

We are now taking bookings for the next cohort of our Mini Hatters sessions, starting on 9th March 2024.

Taking place on Saturday mornings, our Mini Hatters sessions offer 3-5 year-olds the opportunity to experience their first taste of playing football.

As well as learning the basic skills they need to get started in the game, these sessions are all about making sure our youngsters enjoy themselves and have the opportunity to build new friendships.

The sessions take place at Queen Elizabeth School in Luton in the sports hall. Our new indoor base means we are now able to run these sessions all year round. Each session is tailored specifically to the relevant age group, with individual sessions for 3, 4 and 5 year-olds delivered by Luton Town FC Community Trust staff.

Community Trust Business Development Manager, Adam Woulds, said: “These sessions offer a great way for youngsters to start their football journey. We make sure these sessions are fun, light hearted and that everyone goes home with a smile on their face, including the adults, who we encourage to get involved.”

There is also the opportunity for our youngsters to win the ‘Hatter of the Week’ award, rewarding those that display a positive attitude. Whilst these sessions are very much focused on enjoyment for the youngsters, they do also offer a decent foundation to playing the game.

Many of our Mini Hatters move on to our Talent Identification Programme (TIPs) once they reach an age where they are too old for our Mini Hatters programme. This is our entry level weekly training and development sessions for young people in Year 1 to Year 7. These sessions take place in a variety of locations locally and are also now bookable for our next intake, starting this week.
