Four Luton Town players headed off on international duty after the 1-1 draw at Sunderland on Saturday, and will hope to represent their country in fixtures over the next eight days.

USA goalkeeper Ethan Horvath will be wanting to impress interim USA coach Anthony Hudson, the 42-year-old who had a brief loan spell with the Hatters, without making a senior appearance, while coming through the ranks as a young pro at West Ham.

The Americans play two CONCACAF Nations League Group D matches, with the first coming in Grenada’ Kirani James National Stadium on Friday night (midnight GMT), and the second next Monday, when they host El Salvador at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando (11.30pm).

The US are currently second in their group, a point behind El Salvador with a win and a draw from their two matches. El Salvador have played a game more, winning once and drawing twice on five points, while Grenada are third and bottom with one.

If he features, Horvath will make his ninth appearance for the US.

The Welsh boys, Tom Lockyer and Joe Taylor, joined up with their full and Under-21 team-mates at Celtic Manor on Sunday before flying out to Croatia and Spain respectively.

Lockyer and Rob Page’s senior squad head to Croatia for Saturday's opening Euro 24 Qualifying Group D match in the Poljud Stadium in Split (7.45pm).

Following his inclusion in the World Cup squad last November, the Town centre-half will be wanting to add to his 14 caps with a first since September 2021.

The Wales lads then return home for their second match of the break, playing host to Latvia at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 7.45pm kick-off.

On Sunday night, at midnight, Amari’i Bell and his Jamaica team-mates take on Mexico in the 83,000-capacity Azteca Stadium – scene of Diego Maradona’s ‘Hand of God’ goal against England in 1986!

Having played against Lionel Messi and Argentina last time he joined up with Jamaica in September, Bell can expect to win his ninth cap in the CONCACAF Nations League match, with a win guaranteeing that they finish top of Group A – currently one point ahead of the Mexicans with one game left for them to play, while their opponents have two.

Taylor, our January deadline day signing from Peterborough, will look to add to his solitary U21 cap next Sunday when the young Wales side face Scotland in a friendly to be played at the Pinatar Stadium in Murcia.

For any Hatters wanting to watch Joe in action, the 12pm kick-off will be screened on the FAW’s new streaming service, Red Wall +, details of which can be found HERE.
