We have been funded over the past three years by the EFL Trust who are working in partnership with Public Health England to deliver the Fit Fans programme - locally known as Fit Hatters.

We are asking for your support in promoting the free course to local residents within the community or if you wish to attend yourself, you can find all the information you need below...

Is FIT FANS for you?

Our new cohort begins on the week commencing Monday 9th January, where we will be holding inductions for our female cohort on Wednesday 11th Jan 2023 and for a male cohort on Thursday 12th Jan 2023 at Kenilworth Road Stadium, (Maple Road, Luton, Beds LU4 8AW) with the programme running from 7pm to 8.30pm each week.

What can you expect?

FIT FANS has helped 1000’s of people – football fans just like you – to achieve long-term improvements in weight loss, physical activity, diet and general wellbeing. Participants on average lost over five per cent of their body weight during the 12-week programme.

Alongside our weekly sessions we also run maintenance sessions which we have set out below.

Away Day Fit Hatters

This is a circuit training and fitness session designed to get people moving and to meet new likeminded people at the same time. We combine circuit training with fitness exercises and then fun sports to finish off the session. These are running on Saturday morning at the Luton Town FC Community Trust training facitility in Luton - Ely Way - LU4 9QN 9.30am to 10:30am and the cost is £3.50.

Fitness class/Session

This is a fitness/exercise session where we look to stay active and on the move for as much as possible throughout the hour. The sessions are 6-7pm every Wednesday and we can have both male and females attend. Sessions are £10 for 3 sessions. These sessions are held indoors at Beech Hill Primary School (entrance via Hampton Road).

Walking football

Ran every Thursday evening 6pm to 7pm for our male participants and 7pm to 8pm for our female participants. This session is walking football only, but participants still manage to burn around 500-600 calories per session. These sessions are held at Beech Hill Primary School on their 3G astro pitch (entrance via Hampton Road)
