The forward, who joined the Cods on Deadline Day, made an instant impact on his first start for the club, leading the line and scoring the equaliser - smashing the ball home from close range after a scramble in the box.

Muskwe started alongside fellow Town loanee Carlos Mendes Gomes as they were held to a draw against 10-man Wycombe.

Speaking to the local press after the game, Muskwe said: “It was great to get my first goal for the club, but it’s bittersweet because we wanted the three points.

“When you see the ball bouncing around as a striker, you think about how you can affect the play and I was just in the right place at the right time, which strikers like to do.

“With so many players in the box, I just needed to get some height on my shot and thankfully it went in."

Elsewhere in the third tier, Elliot Thorpe made his debut for Burton Albion in a narrow 2-1 defeat against Oxford United, though manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has since resigned from his role at the club ahead of this Saturday's match against Fleetwood.

In League Two, Dion Pereira made his second debut for Bradford City, coming off the bench just after the hour mark to help secure a 2-1 win over Walsall.

Josh Neufville played the full 90 minutes in a home win against Harrogate Town and played a role in the second goal, cutting the ball back to Craig Eastmond whose cross was turned in by Kylian Kouassi.

Aribim Pepple and John McAtee didn't feature in Grimsby's 2-0 away win against Newport County.
