Match Preview | Blackpool (H)

Luton Town’s Easter schedule continues as they host strugglers Blackpool at Kenilworth Road on Monday.

The Hatters will look to continue their current momentum of eight games without defeat, while Blackpool will look to turn around their poor form after four defeats in their last five games.

The opposition:

Blackpool are currently second bottom in the Sky Bet Championship, seven points away from safety with just six games remaining this season.

The Tangerines parted company with manager Mick McCarthy after falling to defeat for the third game in a row on Good Friday against Cardiff City.

One of the positives from this season for Blackpool has been the development of Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino, who has benefited from his spell at Bloomfield Road.

Top scorer Jerry Yates has netted 12 times this season, including three goals in his last three matches; Yates did not feature in Blackpool’s Good Friday defeat.

Last time we met:

Luton Town beat Blackpool in a tight contest at Bloomfield Road back in November.

Luke Berry scored the winner in the second half for his first goal of the season; it was Nathan Jones’ final victory as Luton Town manager before departing for Southampton.
