A professionally trained broadcaster and journalist with more than 20 years of experience in media, journalism and communications, Mark worked for some of the media industry's biggest broadcasters including Sky Sports, BBC and Thomson Reuters.

Since 2008, he worked in the field of corporate communications – starting at world football's governing body FIFA, where he launched and edited their new monthly four-language magazine. He returned to the UK in 2014 to manage communications for Transport Systems Catapult, a newly-created government-backed technology and innovation centre.

His influence had been seen during the Hatters' rise from non-league to the Premier League, offering the Club regular PR advice and guidance on a consultancy basis before committing to take his dream job by joining Luton Town's media team this summer as the Club recruited new talent in readiness for the Premier League.

In those few short weeks, Mark’s passion for his work, the Club and the town left a lasting impression on colleagues who quickly warmed to him. He was proud to make his Luton Town press box debut in the club’s first Premier League match at Brighton.

Heartbreakingly, less than a month after discovering he had cancer and just one day after he should have been celebrating his 50th birthday, Mark lost his brief but brave battle with the disease.

He leaves behind his wife, Louise, and three children – Max, Kurt and Anya – and the love and thoughts of all at the Club go to them all and his wider family, including his sister Jane, who is well-known among the Hatters fan base.
