Utilita Giving will take over the Sky Bet Championship fixture on 1st April, with the Hatters proudly wearing the charity’s logo on the front of their home shirt, as well as their warm-up tops.

But it won’t just be awareness raised on the day.

Representatives of Utilita Giving will be outside Kenilworth Road before the 12.30pm kick-off collecting money. There will also be a post-game auction selling the limited-edition shirts, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Funds raised for Utilita Giving on the day will then be donated to the Luton Foodbank.

Trustee of Utilita Giving, Jem Maidment, said:

“We are extremely grateful to Luton Town FC for allowing us to raise awareness and vital funds at such a big fixture.

“On this occasion, Utilita Giving will be supporting the people of Luton, with all funds raised being pumped back into the local community, to help families out of fuel and food poverty.

“If you’re coming down on the day, please do bring any coins you are able to spare, no matter how much that may be. We will also be able to take card payments if necessary.

“Every donation makes a difference, particularly in these challenging times.”

Chris Bell, Commercial Director at Luton Town FC, added:

“We are really pleased to be able to support Utilita Giving during the game against Watford. We will proudly wear the charity’s logo on the front of the home shirt.

"We hope our supporters are able to support the fundraising, every penny will help. There will be collections before the game and a brilliant game of Football Bowls at half-time. We look forward to helping the local community with Utilita Giving.“

Utilita Giving will also provide half-time entertainment in the form of ‘Football Bowls’.

Hosting the game, which is similar to Lawn Bowls, will be a special guest recognised by football fans all over the world.

Utilita Giving supports individuals, families and households who are experiencing fuel and food poverty across England, Scotland and Wales, and who meet the charity’s purpose and eligibility criteria.

The charity also supports groups and organisations whose intentions match that of Utilita Giving, helping people in fuel and food poverty – much like Luton Foodbank.
