Watch | Edwards reflects on Burnley defeat

Boss Rob Edwards said he was gutted after the Town fell to a defeat at home to Burnley at Kenilworth Road.

The Hatters looked set to take at least a point when Elijah Adebayo found canceled out Lyle Fosterā€™s first-half goal.

However, the Clarets won it 65 seconds after the strikerā€™s equaliser to take all three points back to Turf Moor.

ā€œIā€™m disappointed with the result, we all down in there. We flat, I'm hurting with the manner and the timing of it.

ā€œThey shaded the first half but we adjusted in the second half and then dominated ā€“ we had 15 shots inside their box and scored once ā€“ that is proving the most difficult at the minute. It is the hardest thing in football.

ā€œWe were brave, aggressive, we didnā€™t allow them the control, which is what they want. But ultimately weā€™ve come away with nothing and that hurts.

ā€œWe did have big chances, some great opportunities ā€“ if we werenā€™t doing that then I would be more worried. Thereā€™s lots to be positive about but weā€™re going in the right direction.ā€

On Burnleyā€™s winner that came immediately after the restart, Edwards added: ā€œWe havenā€™t touched the ball after the goal.

ā€œI was swept away with emotion as I felt we could win the game.

ā€œThereā€™s a few things we could have done better and itā€™s something we can learn from but itā€™s gutting at that moment.ā€
