Watch | Rob previews Everton

Rob Edwards takes his side to Merseyside this weekend with the boss aiming to mastermind a first win in the Premier League this season.

The Hatters secured their first point of the campaign after a draw against Wolves last weekend and the boss is hopeful his side’s improvement can continue at Goodison Park.

“Of course, we want that win sooner rather than later,” said Edwards on Friday. “That would stop the outside noise a bit. We believe we have had good performances but winning isn’t something you can guarantee – not even Manchester City can do that.

“However, we’ve got to make sure we have the effort, commitment and the gampelan – things that we can control – and hope that can get us over the line.

“It’s coming. We’ve seen improvements on a weekly basis and it’s great to see the belief the players have in themselves.

“If you look at Club over the past 15 years, they have continued to improve themselves and we are no different – we have already learned in each of our five games, we’ve adapted and we’re certainly more competitive.

“When you’re in the Premier League you’re going to get critiqued. You’re up there to be shot at and that’s no problem. Remember, we are allowed to learn. It’s a new experience for a lot of us and we’ve had to step up very quickly but the club has had a real rapid rise. That’s been done in a good way, with a good plan.

“That was recognised when we were promoted. Now we’re here, we’re going to be judged on results.”
